Biography

Early Life & Career

Amanda Lyonhart was raised in Southern California, where her creativity and intellectual curiosity shaped both her personal and academic pursuits. From a young age, Amanda found inspiration in the intersection of logic, art, and advocacy — interests that would later guide her toward a career in law.

She attended Harvard University, where she began developing a foundation in analytical thinking and global perspective. Currently, Amanda is pursuing her Master’s in Finance, further strengthening her understanding of the complex economic structures that influence both business and law. While at Harvard, she participated in music and art programs, earning several awards for her musical performances — a reflection of her dedication, discipline, and passion for excellence.

Legal Training

Amanda earned her Juris Doctor from the California School of Law in 2025. During her studies, she served as a Teacher’s Assistant and provided academic support to her peers in a variety of legal subjects, demonstrating her commitment to collaboration and mentorship.

She also completed advanced coursework and received specializations in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Pennsylvania and Cloud Computing Law from the Queen Mary University of London. Amanda is currently awaiting the results of the California Bar Exam and is an active member of the San Diego Harvard Alumni Club.

Her approach to the law is guided by the belief that it can be both a shield and a tool—protecting the vulnerable while shaping meaningful, long-term change.

Amanda joins Smith Clinesmith LLP as a Legal Fellow, where she is excited to be part of a mission-driven team dedicated to advocating for vulnerable clients. She is inspired by the firm’s commitment to justice and finds fulfillment in work that aligns with her purpose of serving others.
