Biography

Early Life & Career

David grew up in Houston, Texas, where he attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory School. His interest in law was sparked by watching his parents, who were both lawyers. However, it was during his undergraduate studies at Trinity University that he realized for certain that a legal career was his calling. David earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a minor in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. While at Trinity, he was an active participant in extracurriculars, including intramural dodgeball and playing club rugby.

Legal Training

David pursued his legal education at Texas A&M School of Law, where he graduated with his Juris Doctor degree. During his time in law school, he served as the citation editor for the Journal of Property Law, further honing his legal research and writing skills.

Career at Smith Clinesmith

David first joined Smith Clinesmith during law school as an in-house Probate Law Clerk. In this role, he assisted with Probate for Texas cases and maintained the National Probate docket. After taking some time off to study for the Bar exam, David has returned to the firm with a renewed passion for fighting against nursing home abuse and advocating for seniors in assisted living facilities. He is excited to continue learning about litigation and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
