Biography

Early Life & Career

Marissa Day grew up in Plano, Texas, where she attended Plano East Senior High. She was active in dance, speech and debate, and community service, volunteering at the local food bank. She also gained early leadership experience as a camp counselor, where she discovered a love for guiding and helping others. Marissa went on to attend the University of Arkansas, where she earned her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy. During her time there, she continued her dedication to service and learning, graduating with a strong academic foundation and a passion for advocacy.

Legal Training

Marissa earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2023. While in law school, she was involved in the LGBTQ+ organization, immigration clinics, and continued her volunteer work at the food bank. These experiences deepened her commitment to standing up for others and reinforced her belief in treating people with fairness and respect. She was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2024 and is an active member of the Texas State Bar.
