Biography
Early Life & Career
Travis Peterson grew up in Cedar City, Utah, where he attended Canyon View High School. From a young age, Travis was drawn to service and advocacy, volunteering with CASA to support children in need. He went on to attend Southern Utah University, where he earned a B.S. in Psychology. His studies, combined with his volunteer work, strengthened his understanding of people and inspired him to pursue a career in the legal field.
Legal Training
Travis is recently completed his Juris Doctor at UNT Dallas College of Law. Throughout his legal education, he has focused on developing the skills necessary to become an advocate for those most in need of protection and justice. He is awaiting admission to the Texas Bar in 2025 and looks forward to beginning his practice in the state.

As a Legal Fellow at Smith Clinesmith LLP, Travis is dedicated to advocating for elderly individuals and their families. He is excited to play a role in prosecuting and negotiating claims that seek justice for victims, particularly in cases involving nursing home neglect and abuse. Guided by the belief that “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice,” Travis is committed to making a meaningful impact through his work at the firm.
