Biography
Early Life & Career
Will Moriarty grew up in Houston, Texas, where he attended St. John’s School and developed a strong appreciation for history, service, and community leadership. He later earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Trinity University, complemented by a minor in Business Administration. While at Trinity, Will was recognized as a Presidential Merit Scholar, a distinction that reflected his academic commitment and intellectual curiosity. After college, Will spent time reflecting on his long-term goals and eventually realized in his early thirties that he wanted to follow in his mother’s footsteps and pursue a career in law, guided by a desire to contribute meaningfully to his community and help others navigate difficult moments in their lives.
Legal Training
Will earned his Juris Doctor from New England Law, graduating in 2025 and preparing to enter the legal field with a strong foundation in analytical reasoning and the historical and ethical principles that shape the profession. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2025 and is beginning his full-time legal career at Smith Clinesmith, where he will work across the firm’s general practice areas and develop his skills through hands-on advocacy. Throughout his legal education, Will was influenced by the belief, expressed by St. Thomas Aquinas, that law is fundamentally an ordinance of reason for the common good and that those entrusted with the care of the community have a responsibility to uphold justice.
