Biography

Melissa grew up in Post, Texas and graduated from Post High School. She earned her Master of Library Science from Texas Woman's University, where she was inducted into Beta Phi Mu, the international honor society for library and information studies.

Melissa joins Smith Clinesmith as Director of Learning and Development, bringing decades of experience in information management, educational technology systems, and course design. Her background in librarianship—a discipline rooted in organizing knowledge and connecting people with the right resources—translates seamlessly into developing the systems, training, and frameworks that help a team grow and thrive. Outside the office, Melissa enjoys writing novels and poetry, listening to film scores, and cultivating her home garden.
